Who We Are

Leslie Masten - President and Founder

Leslie has a proven track record of leading Lean improvements in a variety of manufacturing environments including Automotive, Textiles, Electronics, Industrial components, and Custom cabinet manufacture.  Leslie has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.  She spent seven years as a Quality and Maintenance Engineer for Saturn Automotive in the Engine Casting, Machining, and Assembly areas.   She transitioned to Colfax, a sister company to Danaher, after Business School, where she was a CBS Facilitator. 

In addition to building Lean Champions and leading kaizens, she led projects including moving a large assembly plant, dispositioning and transferring inventory to a smaller facility, and implementing cells to make room for product from another facility.  She developed an Inventory Reduction Roadmap and deployed it in 7 facilities.  In 2005, she joined LK Industries as the Director of Continuous Improvement.  LK was in the beginning stages of their Lean journey and under Leslie’s guidance began the transition from a functional silo organization to Value Stream cells dedicated to customer lines.  During this time, she also became engaged in the Jacksonville Lean Consortium as a Board Member and Coaching Staff member. 

Along with helping clients improve their processes, Leslie continues to assist the Jacksonville Lean Consortium with teaching a variety of Introductory Lean classes and leading Facilitator Training.  Leslie is an incredibly curious problem-solver, and enjoys learning how to apply Lean concepts to new situations.
